Who am I?

I’m Camille, the heart and soul behind Cottagekitchen.co over on Instagram. I’m Canadian, though I’ve spent the better part of the last few years in Europe, where I think I may have left half my heart.

The kitchen for me is both a place of comfort and of creation. I feel one of the greatest gift of love one could offer another is the warmth of a kitchen where a stew has been simmering on the stove all day or a cuppa tea accompanied with a slice of cake, or perhaps even better still, a still warm slice of bread slathered in salted butter and homemade jam.

Simpler in my mind is often better, the old better than the. new and anything handmade infinitely more so. I am a lifelong learner and I often feel there is not enough time in the day to fully sate my insatiable curiosity. And because all things are better when shared with others, I decided to create this newsletter to continue fuelling not only my dreams, but also yours.
